Daillo ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Daillo mobile application (the "App"). This App is a USSD helper tool designed for Rwanda Mobile Money (Momo) users to simplify and facilitate the execution of USSD codes for various mobile money services. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

Important Note: This App does not process financial transactions. All transactions are executed directly through your mobile network provider's USSD service. This App only helps you generate and execute USSD codes more conveniently, reducing the need to manually type long USSD strings.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Phone number, email address, and authentication credentials (for app account purposes only)
• Transaction History (Local Only): Records of USSD codes you've executed through the app, stored locally on your device for your convenience and reference
• Contact Information: Access to your device contacts (only when you choose to select recipients for USSD transactions)
• Favorites/Beneficiaries: Phone numbers or account details you save for quick access (stored locally)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App
• Phone State: Phone number and device state (required to execute USSD codes)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our USSD helper service
• To generate and execute USSD codes for Rwanda Mobile Money services
• To verify your identity for app account purposes
• To allow you to select recipients from your contacts when generating USSD codes
• To enable saving QR codes to your device gallery
• To store your transaction history locally for your reference (convenience feature)
• To save your favorite beneficiaries for quick access
• To improve and personalize your experience
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues

Financial Transactions: We do not process, store, or have access to your actual financial transactions. All mobile money transactions are handled directly by your mobile network provider (MTN Rwanda, Airtel, etc.) through their USSD service. We only facilitate the execution of USSD codes that you initiate.

4. Permissions and Data Access

4.1 Contacts Permission

We request access to your contacts only to help you select recipients when generating USSD codes for mobile money services. We do not upload, store, or share your contacts with third parties. Contact data is processed locally on your device and used only to populate recipient fields in USSD code generation.

4.2 Phone Permissions

We require phone state and call permissions to:

• Execute USSD codes by initiating phone calls to USSD service numbers
• Access your phone number to pre-fill USSD parameters when applicable
• Verify device state to ensure USSD execution compatibility

Note: USSD execution is handled by your device's native phone dialer. The App only initiates the USSD code - all subsequent transaction steps are processed by your mobile network provider, not by us.

4.3 Storage Permissions

We request storage access only when you choose to save QR codes to your device gallery. We do not access or modify other files on your device.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using:

• Supabase: For user authentication and account management only (not financial transaction data)
• Local Device Storage: Transaction history, favorites, and beneficiaries are stored locally on your device using secure local storage
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission
• Industry-standard security practices

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Important: Your financial transaction data is not stored by this App. Transaction history stored locally is for your reference only and does not represent actual financial records. Actual transaction records are maintained by your mobile money provider.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: For backend services, user authentication, and account management. Their privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
• Mobile Network Providers: When you execute USSD codes, you interact directly with your mobile network provider's (MTN Rwanda, Airtel, etc.) USSD service. This App does not have access to or control over transactions processed by your mobile network provider.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating our App (e.g., Supabase for authentication services)
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights
• With your explicit consent

Financial Transaction Data: We do not have access to or share your financial transaction data because we do not process financial transactions. All financial transactions are handled directly between you and your mobile network provider through their USSD service.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
• Opt-out of certain data collection

9. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
